The Effect Of Debt
Debt is something that most of us have experienced at one time or another. Sometimes debt is a conscious choice we make as a result of a purchase of goods or services and other times, it can result from an unexpected event such as a debilitating illness, the breakdown of an automobile or unexpected home repairs.
If you wake up one day and feel the crushing burden of debt, it can affect much more than your financial wellbeing.
Too much debt can have a negative effect on both your physical and mental health.
- Loss of sleep over debt is common
- Physically ill from the stress
- Confidence and self-esteem may suffer
- Become irritable
- Lose your focus and concentration
- Avoid social situations
As a result too much debt, you can be rendered fearful and paralysed as you become unable to cope with it.
If you realize that you are facing a mountain of debt, don’t run away from it, get professional help and advice so that you can reduce the mountain to a hill and eventually eliminate it.
Don’t let the stress of debt ruin your life. Take steps to get your debt under control. It can be a battle but with professional help and guidance, it is a battle you can win.
